THE DRIFT WORLD PREMIERE SCREENING – 6TH DECEMBER 2014
September 26, 2014 Matt
THE DRIFT is to receive its World Premiere on Saturday 6th December 2014 at the University of Lincoln.
Producer and director, Darren Scales says the location is the perfect choice for the special event. “As well as volunteers from the Lincolnshire community, many of the crew were students and post-graduates from the University who wanted to add something special to their CV. I can’t think of a better location to showcase their work and say thank you for their contribution.”
Cast, Crew and invited guests will receive the red carpet treatment as they step into the world of Hollywood complete with black tie, eager to see their science fiction spectacular on the big screen.
THE DRIFT was produced as a community project to bring together filmmakers and Sci-Fi enthusiasts to make an original space adventure.
The Premiere concludes more than three years of work to make the film. “It has been a hard slog” says Darren. “We didn’t have the resources or budget that the major production companies enjoy. I think that is why I am so pleased about having the Premiere because despite those odds, my crew’s hard work has paid off. Now we have a completely original feature length Science fiction Space movie we can all be proud of!”
After the Premiere, it is hoped that the film will go on to be released Online and DVD to raise money for charity.
Admittance to the Premiere is by invitation only. Anyone wishing to attend the event should email us direct mail@bypuk.com.
